FAQ

Common questions about Lip Filler.

Can I ask for a subtle change?

Yes. Describe the amount of change you want and the features you want to keep. A subtle preference still needs a clear plan and realistic limits.

How much filler should I have?

The amount depends on your anatomy, existing material and intended change. A full syringe is not an aesthetic goal, and a small amount does not automatically guarantee a particular look.

Can you copy lips from a photograph?

A reference can communicate a preference for shape or fullness. It cannot establish that another person’s anatomy can be recreated on your face.

Will my lips look uneven at first?

Swelling and bruising can be uneven. We explain the expected settling period and when asymmetry or another change should be reviewed.

Can previous lip filler still matter?

Yes. Bring any available treatment history, including dissolving, lumps or unusual swelling. The starting point must be assessed before adding more.

Can lip filler be dissolved?

HA filler may be reduced with hyaluronidase when appropriate. This is another medical treatment with limitations and risks, rather than an effortless reset.

When should I book before an event?

Allow room for swelling, bruising and reassessment. Tell us the event date before choosing an appointment rather than assuming your lips will be settled within a fixed number of days.

Will filler treat lines above the lip?

Lip volume and surrounding skin lines are different concerns. Filler may not be the right approach to etched surface lines, and resurfacing may enter the discussion.

What should I share before treatment?

Share medications, allergies, medical conditions and previous procedures, including pregnancy or breastfeeding where relevant. Follow your individual preparation instructions. Do not stop prescribed medication on your own.

What risks should I understand?

Swelling, bruising, lumps and infection are possible. Rare vascular complications can damage skin or vision. Unusual severe pain, pale or dusky skin need urgent assessment; sudden vision or neurological changes require emergency care.

What does treatment cost?

Lip filler starts at $550. We confirm the price and what your plan includes at a complimentary consultation, before you commit.

Who will perform my treatment?

Lip Filler is performed by Sonia Vilos, NP and Tina Nguyen at SkinAlchemy. Your booking confirms who treats you, and they agree the plan with you before starting.

Can it be part of a combined plan?

Sometimes different concerns need different tools. The reason for each treatment and the order should be clear. Pairing does not automatically mean the same appointment.
