"I’m noticing more lines when my face moves."

Some lines deepen with expression. Others remain at rest. We assess both before deciding what a movement-focused treatment can change.

How we arrive at Neuromodulators.Or don't.

01 · Notice

What you see.

Tell us which expression or crease bothers you and which movements you want to keep.

02 · Assess

Where it sits.

We look at the face at rest and in motion, including brow position, asymmetry and previous treatment response.

03 · Weigh

What it asks of you.

We explain the intended movement change, what may remain visible at rest and the risk of unwanted weakness.

04 · Decide

Treat, stage, wait or preserve.

We may treat selected muscles, begin conservatively, wait for earlier treatment to wear off or preserve the movement as it is.

What to expect

A plan made in motion.

A change assessed after it develops.

Before

At assessment

We review movement, medical history, previous treatment and the expressions you wish to retain.

Before

Before your visit

Tell us about medications, muscle or nerve conditions and any recent injectable treatment.

During

Treatment day

The agreed areas are treated with small injections and a documented plan.

After

First few days

Injection marks or bruising may occur. Follow the aftercare instructions for the product used.

After

Around 2 weeks

The effect is assessed once it has developed. Review timing can vary with the product and plan.

After

As movement returns

We discuss whether and when another treatment is worthwhile, based on your response.

FAQ

Common questions about Neuromodulators.

How does this treatment differ from filler?

Neuromodulators affect selected muscle activity. Filler places material to change volume or contour. Neither automatically addresses every kind of line.

Will I still be able to move my face?

The intended movement change is part of planning. Amount and placement influence the effect, but unwanted weakness or asymmetry can occur. Tell us which expressions matter to you.

Can it remove a line that stays at rest?

Reducing movement may soften part of the concern, but an established resting line may remain. Skin texture and structure can need separate attention.

When does the effect appear?

The change develops after treatment rather than immediately. Onset and review timing depend on the product and individual response.

How long does the effect last?

The effect is temporary. Product, treated muscles, dose and individual response influence duration. Your own response is more useful for planning than a fixed promise.

What if I have had treatment elsewhere?

Bring the date, product, dose and areas if known. Previous treatment still matters even when you do not have complete records.

Can every asymmetry be corrected?

No. Some differences relate to structure or habitual movement. Treatment can also introduce new asymmetry, so the intended change and its limits should be clear.

Can I choose a subtle result?

Yes, you can describe a preference for less change or retained movement. The plan should explain what that preference means and whether it is achievable for your anatomy.

What should I share before treatment?

Share medications, allergies, medical conditions and previous procedures, including pregnancy or breastfeeding where relevant. Follow your individual preparation instructions. Do not stop prescribed medication on your own.

What risks should I understand?

Bruising, headache, asymmetry or unwanted muscle weakness can occur, including eyelid or brow changes. Rare serious effects can involve swallowing, speech or breathing. Those symptoms require immediate medical care.

What does treatment cost?

Neuromodulators are $10 per unit. The number of units depends on the areas treated. We confirm the price and what your plan includes at a complimentary consultation, before you commit.

Who will perform my treatment?

Neuromodulators is performed by Sonia Vilos, NP, Tina Nguyen and Anna Cox at SkinAlchemy. Your booking confirms who treats you, and they agree the plan with you before starting.

Can it be part of a combined plan?

Sometimes different concerns need different tools. The reason for each treatment and the order should be clear. Pairing does not automatically mean the same appointment.
