01 · Notice

What you see.

Tell us whether the concern is a fine crease, a hollow, darkness or puffiness.

02 · Assess

Where it sits.

We assess skin quality, contour and treatment history. Not every tired-looking area has a problem PRF can address.

03 · Weigh

What it asks of you.

We discuss the possibility of subtle improvement, the limited evidence and the commitment of an injection-based course.

04 · Decide

Treat, stage, wait or preserve.

We may consider PRF, choose another approach or recommend against treatment when the expected benefit is too uncertain.

What to expect

Prepared from your own blood.

Progress assessed carefully.

Before

At assessment

We assess the eye area and review your health, medication and previous injectable history.

Before

Before your visit

Follow your preparation instructions. Do not stop prescribed medication without the prescriber’s guidance.

During

Treatment day

A blood sample is processed to prepare PRF, which is placed according to the agreed treatment plan.

After

First few days

Swelling, bruising or tenderness can occur. The immediate fullness is not the final result.

After

As swelling settles

Follow aftercare and report unexpected pain, persistent swelling or a changing lump.

After

FAQ

Common questions about Bright Eyes PRF.

What is PRF?

PRF means platelet-rich fibrin. It is prepared from a blood sample and contains a platelet and fibrin component. Preparation methods differ, which matters when comparing evidence and treatment claims.

Is it the same as PRP?

No. The preparations are related but differ in processing and composition. Results reported for PRP should not automatically be used to promise the same result from PRF.

Will it fill a hollow like filler?

It should not be presented as equivalent to the directly placed volume of an HA gel. Early swelling can create temporary fullness without establishing a lasting contour change.

What does the evidence support?

A 2025 systematic review found promising PRF findings for periorbital texture and fine creasing, while noting uncertainty about durability and the need for stronger standardised studies.

Will it remove pigment or bags?

That should not be promised. Pigment, fluid-related puffiness, skin excess and a structural hollow can need different approaches.

Is it risk-free because it comes from my blood?

No. Blood collection and injection still carry risks, including bruising, swelling and infection. The source of the preparation does not replace a suitability assessment.

How many treatments are needed?

There is no single standardised course that guarantees improvement. A proposed series should explain its evidence, review point and stopping criteria.

How will we know whether it helped?

Agree on the concern beforehand and compare photographs with similar lighting and facial position. Improvement should be judged after the injection response has settled.

What should I share before treatment?

Share medications, allergies, medical conditions and previous procedures, including pregnancy or breastfeeding where relevant. Follow your individual preparation instructions. Do not stop prescribed medication on your own.

What risks should I understand?

Bruising, swelling, infection and discomfort are possible. Under-eye injections require particular care. Unexpected severe pain or skin-colour change needs urgent assessment, and sudden vision changes require emergency care.

What does treatment cost?

Bright Eyes PRF is $650 per session. We confirm the price and what your plan includes at a complimentary consultation, before you commit.

Who will perform my treatment?

Bright Eyes PRF is performed by Sonia Vilos, NP and Tina Nguyen at SkinAlchemy. Your booking confirms who treats you, and they agree the plan with you before starting.

Can it be part of a combined plan?

Sometimes different concerns need different tools. The reason for each treatment and the order should be clear. Pairing does not automatically mean the same appointment.
