How we decide what to treat. And what to leave.

How we arrive at Under-Eye Filler.Or don't.

01 · Notice

What you see.

Tell us whether you notice darkness, a hollow, bags or a change that fluctuates through the day.

02 · Assess

Where it sits.

We assess the lower eyelid, cheek, skin and previous filler. A shadow and pigmentation are not the same target.

03 · Weigh

What it asks of you.

We discuss how much contour improvement is realistic and the particular swelling and vascular risks of this area.

04 · Decide

Treat, stage, wait or preserve.

We may treat a suitable hollow, address another contributing factor first or recommend against filler when it could make puffiness worse.

What to expect

Careful selection first.

A result assessed after swelling settles.

Before

At assessment

We assess the concern, prior treatment and medical history, then agree on the intended change.

Before

Before your visit

Bring any previous injectable records and your medication list. Tell us about illness, dental work or other planned procedures.

During

Treatment day

The agreed material is placed in the planned areas. The product and treatment are documented.

After

First few days

Swelling, bruising or tenderness may occur. Follow the aftercare for your specific product and area.

After

As the area settles

Do not massage, press or add another treatment unless instructed. Report unexpected or worsening symptoms.

After

At the agreed review

We assess the settled appearance and decide whether any further treatment has a clear purpose.

Who treats you

Trained hands.
Careful eyes.

A tired appearance is not a diagnosis.
Your practitioner separates shadow, colour and swelling before deciding whether an injection belongs under the eye.

FAQ

Common questions about Under-Eye Filler.

Does filler remove dark circles?

It may improve a shadow caused by a suitable hollow. Pigment, visible vessels, thin skin and puffiness can remain, so complete removal of dark circles should not be promised.

What if I have under-eye bags?

Bags and fluid-related puffiness need a separate assessment. Adding filler can worsen swelling or be inappropriate, particularly when skin excess or protruding tissue is the main concern.

How is it different from PRF?

Filler places volume to change a contour. PRF is considered for possible tissue-quality effects, with more limited evidence. They should not be presented as equivalent solutions.

Why is the cheek assessed too?

The lower eyelid and cheek form a shared contour. Looking only at the trough can miss the contribution of neighbouring volume and structure.

Can filler become visible through the skin?

Yes. Thin skin can make contour irregularities or a blue-grey appearance more noticeable. Product choice and placement matter, but do not eliminate risk.

What if I have old under-eye filler?

Tell us about all previous treatment, even if it was years ago. Persistent material or swelling can change the recommendation and may need assessment before anything is added.

Can it be dissolved if I dislike it?

HA filler may be reduced with hyaluronidase when appropriate. The eye area remains medically sensitive, and dissolving is not a guarantee of an uncomplicated return to the starting appearance.

Could neither filler nor PRF be right?

Yes. Pigment, significant bags, skin excess or medical causes may need a different approach. A recommendation against an injection can be the most useful outcome.

What should I share before treatment?

Share medications, allergies, medical conditions and previous procedures, including pregnancy or breastfeeding where relevant. Follow your individual preparation instructions. Do not stop prescribed medication on your own.

What risks should I understand?

Swelling, bruising, lumps and infection are possible. Rare vascular complications can damage skin or vision. Unusual severe pain, pale or dusky skin need urgent assessment; sudden vision or neurological changes require emergency care.

What does treatment cost?

Under-eye filler starts at $600. We confirm the price and what your plan includes at a complimentary consultation, before you commit.

Who will perform my treatment?

Under-Eye Filler is performed by Sonia Vilos, NP and Tina Nguyen at SkinAlchemy. Your booking confirms who treats you, and they agree the plan with you before starting.

Can it be part of a combined plan?

Sometimes different concerns need different tools. The reason for each treatment and the order should be clear. Pairing does not automatically mean the same appointment.
